Colombia starts AD sunset review on China’s steel profiles for drywall

On October 31, 2024, the Colombian Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism (MCIT) launched the first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review on steel profiles for drywall originating in China, following the applications submitted by domestic companies CONSORCIO METALÚRGICO NACIONAL SAS - COLMENA SAS and MANUFACTURAS SAS - MATECSA SAS.

The products involved are alloyed and non-alloyed steel profiles for drywall, in galvanized and galvalume sheet, simply processed or cold processing, used in light and non-structural construction, with thicknesses equal to or less than 0.46 mm, classified under tariff subheadings 7216.61.00.00, 7216.91.00.00, and 7228.70.00.00.

The existing AD duties remain in effect during the sunset review investigation.
