On November 19, 2024, the Colombian Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism (MCIT) announced the launch of the second sunset review of anti-dumping (AD) applied to steel cables, galvanized strands, and prestressed concrete strands originating in China, following an application submitted by domestic producer Empresa Colombiana de Cables S.A.S.

The sunset review is to determine whether the expiry of the existing AD order on the subject goods from China would lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury to the domestic industry.

The products involved are under HS code 7312.10.90.00.

The current AD duties will remain in effect during the sunset review investigation.
