Turkey’s steel industry is optimistic, aiming to raise capacity utilization to 70% by 2025 from the current 62.6%, despite global challenges.

According to Veysel Yayan, Secretary General of the Turkish Steel Producers Association (TCUD), Turkey avoids layoffs during downturns, focusing on maintenance, product diversification, and developing new markets.

The Turkish steel industry is not currently shrinking but is working hard to increase production and employment to make up for the losses suffered in the past few years.
