On December 12, 2024, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade announced that it will initialize the second sunset review of anti-dumping (AD) duty investigation on aluminum foils originating from China with thickness not exceeding 0.2mm.

The investigation was requested by domestic aluminum producers. The HS codes for the product under review are 7607.11 and 7607.19. During the investigation period, the existing anti-dumping measures remain effective.

Turkey launched its first anti-dumping investigation on imported aluminum foil from China on December 21, 2013. It made a final ruling on July 26, 2014, and imposed an anti-dumping duty rate of 22%. On January 4, 2020, it made the determination for the first sunset review of anti-dumping on the subject products and kept the anti-dumping duty order at the same rate of 22%.
