BMS Birlesik Metal Sanayi ve Ticaret AS, a steel producer in Turkey, has decided to establish a solar power plant with in investment of US$5.9 million to cover a large portion of its electricity expenses at the Kocaeli plant.

The company will build a solar power plant in Kırşehir on an area of approximately 149,000 square meters. With an installed capacity of 6,240 kWp, the plant is expected to have an annual electricity generation of around 10,800,000 kWh. Through this plant, roughly 80% of the company's electricity consumption will be met by clean energy.
