Mescier Demir Çelik, an electric arc furnace (EAF) steelmaker in Bartin, Turkey, will build a 30 MW solar power plant in Uşak of the Aegean region, in order to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions. 

Currently, the construction project is awaiting environmental approval from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and construction will proceed after obtaining environmental approval.

The company's two steel mills in Karabük and Bartin mainly produce steel sections and angle steels, with a total production capacity of 800,000 tons.
