According to the report, Algerian Qatari Steel Company, situated in the Bellara Industrial Zone in Emilia, Jijel Province, Algeria, has announced plans to export approximately 700,000 tons of steel products and their derivatives to 36 countries in 2024.

Algerian Qatari Steel Company produces about 2 million tons of steel products, of which 66% is sold to the local market and 34% is exported to the international market. SITI said the immediate plan targets to reach exports of an estimated 2.7 million tons out of a total of 4 million tons, which total annual production after the implementation of the second phase of the expansion project, scheduled to be operational in 2028.
