Brazil makes preliminary AD ruling on pre-painted steel from China, India, without imposing provisional duties

Brazil’s Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC) made its preliminary positive determination of the anti-dumping (AD) measure on pre-painted steel products originating in China and India without recommending imposing a provisional AD duty. The investigation will continue, and the deadline for concluding the dumping investigation will be extended to 18 months from its initiation date.

The products involved are pre-painted steel products with a width equal to or greater than 600 mm, classified under subitems 7210.70.10 and 7210.70.20, as well as pre-painted steel products with a width of less than 600 mm under subitems 7212.40.10, 7212.40.21, and 7212.40.29 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM).
