Primetals Technologies has successfully delivered and commissioned two EAF Quantum electric arc furnaces at Hubei Shunle's steel production facility in Hubei Province, China. The facility manufactures two million tons of high-strength seismic rebar steel annually. 

Primetals Technologies' EAF Quantum furnaces at Hubei Shunle set a world record, achieving 50 heats daily and under 28 minutes tap-to-tap times. They also demonstrate high efficiency with power consumption below 312 kWh/ton and oxygen use below 24 m³/ton.

This integrated approach has enabled the Chinese steel producer to optimize its production processes while maintaining high-quality output standards.
