Brazil continues AD duties on non-grain oriented electrical steel from 4 countries

On July 11, 2025, Brazil’s Foreign Trade Executive Management Committee (Gecex) announced its final decision of a sunset review, deciding to continue imposing anti-dumping (AD) duties on flat-rolled silicon steel, known as magnetic, non-grain oriented steel (NGO steel) from China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Germany for another five years.

According to the official notice, China faces AD duties between US$90 and US$166.32/ton, Taiwan between US$90 and US$166.32/ton, South Korea between US$0 and US$166.32/ton, and Germany at US$166.32/ton.

This ruling, effective on the date of its publication, applies to products under tariff codes 7225.19.00 and 7226.19.00 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM).
