Brazil extends AD duties on China’s carbon steel seamless line pipes

30 Jul 2025 15:07 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
Brazil has extended anti-dumping (AD) duties on seamless steel pipe imports from China for up to five years, starting July 28, 2025. According to Brazil's Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX), there is sufficient evidence of injury to the domestic production of these pipes.

The definitive AD duties, ranging from US$778.99/ton to US$835.47/ton, will continue. The subject goods are carbon steel seamless line pipes, used for oil and gas pipelines, with an outside diameter greater than or equal to 5 inches (141.3 mm), but not greater than 14 inches (355.6 mm). These products are classified under the tariff code 7304.19.00 of the MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature (NCM).

This AD measure was initially put in place on November 4, 2013.

Vallourec Soluções Tubulares do Brasil S.A. is the petitioner for this AD investigation.
