Turkey eliminates customs duties on many Qatari products

31 Jul 2025 13:55 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
Effective on August 1, 2025, Turkey will reduce customs duties on thousands of products imported from Qatar to zero. This policy change is an amendment to Turkey's import regime, officially published in the Turkish Official Gazette.

Customs duties and additional financial obligations on a wide range of Qatari goods will be removed. These include, but aren't limited to, flax, hemp, various minerals such as sulfur, sand, quartz, and cement, along with LED lights, petroleum-derived oils, ethylene, propylene, LPG, and other hydrocarbons. Inorganic chemicals, hydrogen, noble gases, non-metals, and diverse items made from metal, wood, plastic, vegetable fibers, and glass will also now be exempt from these import charges.
