CSN sells its shares in Usiminas to hold 4.99% only

Brazilian steelmaker Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) announced on August 6 that it has sold a portion of its shares in its domestic rival, Usiminas, in response to orders from the Administrative Council for Economic Defense.

CSN reported that it sold 36,235,837 common shares and 472,200 preferred shares of Usiminas. After the share sale, CSN now holds a 4.99% stake in Usiminas.
