The Anti-Dumping Commission of Australia has extended the due date to issue the final result of the investigation of anti-dumping (AD) into hot-rolled deformed steel reinforcing bar imports from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Turkey.

The probe was initialized in September 2024. The extension of the due date to issue the Statement of Essential Facts (SEF) and to provide the final report and recommendation to the Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science was due to the delays in completing verification of relevant data.

The investigation period is from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. The final result will be issued by December 18, 2025, later than the original scheduled date of November 19, 2025.

The subject products under investigation are hot-rolled deformed steel reinforcing bars, commonly known as rebar or debar, in various diameters up to and including 50 millimetres. The HS codes for subject products are 7214.20.00 (47), 7228.30.10 (70), 7228.30.90 (40), and 7228.60.10 (72).
