On September 19, 2025, the Commission for the Regulation of Unfair Trade Practices and Safeguard Measures of the Dominican Republic announced a levy of a preliminary anti-dumping (AD) duty on EMT conduit pipes originating in China. A temporary 16% duty will be imposed on the subject goods with a diameter ranging from 0.5 to 3 inches.

Effective on September 26, 2025, this measure will remain in force for four months until January 25, 2026.

This decision is the result of an AD investigation launched on November 13, 2024, to determine if Chinese EMT conduit pipes were being sold at unfairly low prices.

The products involved are under tariff subheadings 7306.30.00, 7306.50.00, 7306.69.00, 7306.90.00, 7308.90.10, and 7326.90.90 of the Customs Tariff of the Dominican Republic.
