Argentina suspends steel and aluminum export taxes

9 Oct 2025 16:09 reported by Yolanda Wang

A A A
Argentina has suspended export taxes on aluminum and steel to boost manufacturing competitiveness and exports. The measure will be enforced from Wednesday (October 8) and will remain in place until December 31, 2025.

This tax relief specifically applies to countries that impose import tariffs of at least 45% on these goods.

The policy signals Argentina's intent to promote industrial exports and cautiously liberalize its trade policy.
