On October 14, 2025, the Regulatory Commission for Unfair Trade Practices and Safeguard Measures of the Dominican Republic announced the launch of the third anti-dumping (AD) sunset review on steel bars or rods for concrete reinforcement from Turkey, based on a request by the local producer METALDOM S.A.

The investigation period covers two periods: January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2024, and January 1, 2025, to June 30, 2025.

The products involved are classified under Dominican Republic tariff codes 7213.20.90, 7214.10.00, and 7214.20.00.

A 14% AD duty has been in place since the original final determination on June 13, 2011, after an initial investigation began on July 23, 2010. The duty was subsequently extended twice following affirmative rulings from sunset reviews in June 2016 and July 2021.
