Australia’s Anti-Dumping Commission has issued a preliminary affirmative determination on imports of steel corner beads and angles from China, finding that they caused material injury to the domestic industry. As a result, a provisional anti-dumping (AD) duty of 32.3% Ad valorem has been imposed, effective from October 15, 2025.

The investigation, initiated on May 30, 2025, was requested by Rondo Building Services Pty Ltd and covers imports between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024.

A Statement of Essential Facts (SEF) will be released on March 24, 2026, with a final recommendation expected no later than June 2, 2026.

The affected products fall under HS codes 7216.61.00.57, 7216.69.00.58, 7216.91.00.59, 7216.99.00.60, and 7308.90.00.53.
