Kardemir Karabük Demir Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Kardemir), a Turkish special steel producer, has placed an order with KOCKS for a Reducing & Sizing Block (RSB®) 370++/4. This investment is part of a modernization project to increase reliability and product quality in the rolling of Special Bar Quality (SBQ) long products.

The new RSB® 370++/4 will be integrated into Kardemir's existing special bar quality mill, which has a designed capacity of 700,000 tons per year. Adopting KOCKS' 3-roll technology will enable Kardemir to produce a broad range of high-accuracy SBQ dimensions, including straight bars with a diameter from 20.0 mm to 105.0 mm and hexagonal bars from 20.0 mm to 75.0 mm.

The supply also includes the 4D EAGLE S measuring system and the BAMICON Octopus solution for quality control and roll shop support.

The project is planned for completion in the first half of 2026.
