Canada extends dumping investigation period on OCTG imports

5 Nov 2025 15:05 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
On October 30, 2025, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) extended its dumping investigation on imports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) originating in or exported from Mexico and the Philippines, and originating in and exported or produced by Borusan Mannesmann Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Borusan) of Turkey, Hyundai Steel Company (Hyundai Steel) of South Korea, and Tenaris S.A. of the US.

The probe was initiated following a complaint filed by domestic producers EVRAZ Inc. NA Canada and Welded Tube of Canada Corporation.

Due to the case's complexity or novelty, the CBSA invoked the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) to extend the deadline from 90 to 135 days. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) is reviewing evidence of injury. The CBSA is scheduled to issue its preliminary decision or terminate the investigation by December 22, 2025.
