Mexico initiates fifth AD review on seamless steel pipes from Japan

On November 4, 2025, Mexico's Ministry of Economy (SE) announced the initiation of the fifth anti-dumping (AD) sunset review investigation on imports of seamless steel pipes originating in Japan.

This review was launched based on an application submitted by domestic Mexican producer Tubos de Acero de Mexico, S.A. (TAMSA). The investigation period is from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, while the injury analysis period spans from July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2025.

The products involved in this case are hot-rolled carbon or alloy steel seamless pipes with an outside diameter from 101.6 mm to 460 mm, without coating or other surface work, regardless of wall thickness or ends. These products are classified under tariff codes 7304.19.01, 7304.19.02, 7304.19.03, 7304.19.99, 7304.39.10, 7304.39.11, 7304.39.12, 7304.39.13, 7304.39.14, 7304.39.15, 7304.39.91, 7304.39.92, 7304.39.99, and 7304.59.99 of the TIGIE.

The current 99.9% AD duty will continue to be effective during the sunset review process.
