Dominican Republic initiates AD investigation on rebar from Costa Rica

On November 27, 2025, the Regulatory Commission for Unfair Trade Practices and Safeguard Measures of the Dominican Republic initiated an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on imports of corrugated or deformed steel bars or rods for concrete reinforcement (rebar) from Costa Rica, based on an application filed by Dominican producer METALDOM S.A. in September 2025.

The period for the investigation is from June 1, 2024, to May 31, 2025, and the injury assessment period covers January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024, and January 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025.

The products under review are under HS codes 7214.10.00 and 7214.20.00.
