The Korea Trade Commission (KTC) initiated an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on galvanized cold-rolled steel originating in China, following the application filed by domestic manufacturers Dongkuk CM Co., Ltd., KG Steel Co., Ltd., and SeAH CM Co., Ltd.

The period of investigation is expected to be from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, and the period of injury investigation is from January 1, 2021, to June 30, 2025.

The KTC expects to issue a preliminary ruling within three months. Interested parties must register their response within three weeks of the investigation’s launch.

The products involved are cold-rolled products of carbon steel or alloy steel surface-treated with zinc or zinc-alloy, with a thickness under 4.75 mm, in the form of coils, sheets, or plates, including corrugated products and products coated with paint, varnish, or plastic. However, products electrolytically plated or coated with zinc and galvannealed products through annealing are excluded. The subject goods are under HS codes 7210.41.0000, 7210.49.9010, 7210.49.9090, 7210.61.0000, 7210.70.2000, 7212.30.9010, 7212.30.9090, 7212.40.2000, 7225.92.9091, 7225.92.9099, and 7226.99.3000.
