Global private equity firm Trivest Partners announced an investment in DMI Direct Metals, partnering with First Lexington and DMI CEO Andrew Mullen to accelerate the company's expansion in the US fasteners and building hardware market.

DMI is known for its own-brand Panclip series, with many products certified to Miami-Dade and Florida building codes, and is known for its fast lead times and ample inventory.

Currently, the company serves over 500 OEMs and distributors across the US through four distribution centers in Florida, Indiana, and Texas, establishing a strong market presence in the metal roofing and building hardware sector.

Trivest's investment in DMI is the eighth platform investment from Fund VII. This cooperation will help DMI expand its national footprint. DMI aims to leverage the partnership to strengthen its product portfolio, enter new markets, and advance its position as a leading US supplier.
