Turkey's steel exports have risen 10.9% year-to-date to 18.2 million tons, with growth accelerating sharply in early December. From December 1 to 8, shipments surged 40% year-on-year to 519,000 tons, driven by strong increases across major product categories, including coated flat steel, billets, wire rod, scrap, cold-rolled products, and seamless pipes.

The sustained annual growth has also been supported by higher shipments of construction steel and hot-rolled steel. Other products, such as welded pipe, profiles, and steel wire, also contributed to the overall export expansion this year.
