EU launches AD investigation on silico-manganese steel wire from China

The European Commission announced that it had launched an anti-dumping (AD) duty investigation on imported wires of silico-manganese steel from China. The European Commission received the complaints from the European companies, including ELBOR S.p.a. Electroda Zagreb d.d., Electro Portugal Lda., Hermann Fliess & Co. GmbH, Italfil Spa, Multimet Sp. z o.o., S.I.A.T. Società Italiana Acciai Trafilati S.p.A., and Westfälische Drahtindustrie GmbH, as those filed on October 29, 2025, to the Commission.

 

The subject good of the European Combined Nomenclature code (CN) is 7229 2000. The investigation period is from October 1st, 2024, to September 30, 2025, while the damage investigation period is from January 1st, 2022, till the end of the investigation.
