Australia ends AD probe on rebar imports from certain exporters

19 Dec 2025 15:48 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
On December 16, 2025, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued Notice No. 2025/125, terminating parts of its anti-dumping (AD) investigation into hot-rolled deformed steel reinforcing bar in lengths from several exporters in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam.

Investigations showed that Indonesia's PT Ispat Panca Putera and Malaysia's Southern Steel Berhad engaged in no dumping activity. Although authorities found dumping evidence for Indonesia's PT Putra Baja Deli and Vietnam's Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Joint Stock Company, the calculated margins were at negligible levels. As a result, the Commission terminated the investigation against these specific companies.

The products involved are under HS codes 7214.20.00.47, 7228.30.10.70, 7228.30.90.40, and 7228.60.10.72.
