USITC upholds AD & CVD duties on China’s steel wire rods

24 Dec 2025 14:59 reported by Joy Liu

A A A
The US International Trade Commission (USITC) has concluded its second review regarding carbon and certain alloy steel wire rods from China. The ITC ruled that revoking the existing anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders would likely cause renewed material injury to the US domestic industry within a reasonably foreseeable time.

The review process began on May 1, 2025, and moved to an expedited phase on August 4, 2025.

By upholding these measures, the ITC aims to prevent a resurgence of unfair trade practices that could harm the domestic steel industry.
