Portland Bolt & Manufacturing Co., LLC (Portland Bolt), a leading American bolt manufacturer, has completed a major expansion of its South Carolina production facility in anticipation of strong demand from the construction and infrastructure sectors.

The project nearly tripled the plant’s size, growing from 25,000 to 62,500 square feet. The expansion introduces a new hot-dip galvanizing line, enabling the company to provide high-quality corrosion protection both for its own products and for external clients in industries such as metalworking, utilities, and transportation.

Additionally, the upgraded facility now offers threading for bolts up to 2.5 inches in diameter, along with new bending and welding capabilities, creating a one-stop service for integrated fastener manufacturing.

CEO Blake Ray emphasizes that the enhanced plant will shorten delivery times for customers in the eastern United States, improve rapid-order processing, and strengthen nationwide service coverage. The expansion represents a key milestone in delivering greater responsiveness and product quality to meet urgent project needs.

The move underscores Portland Bolt’s continued investment in US-based manufacturing and its commitment to supporting domestic infrastructure growth.
