Australia has made a preliminary determination to impose provisional anti-dumping (AD) duties on Chinese freight railway wheels from December 22, 2025.

To prevent material injury during the investigation period, Australia will require a security deposit of 36.9% from non-cooperating exporters as well as all other exporters.

Australia launched AD and countervailing duties (CVD) investigations on October 23 into freight railway wheels exported from China to Australia.

The Statement of Essential Facts is scheduled to be released by February 10, 2026, with the Commission’s recommendations to be submitted by March 27, 2026.

The products involved are under HS code 8607.19.00.20.
