The Egyptian Customs Authority has officially extended the export levy on stainless steel alloy scrap and waste for another year.

According to Publication No. 67 of 2025, the existing fee of 9,000 EGP per ton remains in effect to stabilize the domestic raw material supply. This regulation applies to customs code 7204.21.

The policy excludes shipments designated for production projects within Egypt’s free zones, provided they stay within government-approved limits.
