Nippon Steel gains full ownership of Krosaki Harima following Indian regulatory approval

Nippon Steel Corporation has secured approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) to acquire the remaining 53.4% stake in Krosaki Harima Corporation. This acquisition will give Nippon Steel complete 100% ownership of Krosaki, significantly strengthening its position in the refractory products sector. 

The move meets Nippon Steel's strategic objective to consolidate its holdings across key business areas. By gaining full control of Krosaki, the company aims to enhance operational efficiency and market competitiveness. This transaction represents a significant step in Nippon Steel's efforts to bolster its presence in both the steel and refractory industries.
