The Ministry of Industry of Egypt has announced a new package of investment incentives to attract projects in cold-rolled steel, galvanized steel, and color-coated steel production. The ministry said these products are essential inputs for key industries and urged capable investors to channel fresh capital into the sector.

Under the policy, industrial land will be allocated at competitive prices, with priority given to cold-rolling and coated steel projects. Investors will also benefit from flexible payment terms tied to project progress and preferential financing for production lines and working capital.

To speed up project execution, operating licenses will be issued within 24 hours after procedures are completed through the General Authority for Industrial Development. Approved projects will receive immediate access to utilities and infrastructure.

The ministry added that locally produced steel will be prioritized in major national projects to reduce imports, strengthen supply chains, and enhance Egypt’s industrial competitiveness.
