Mexico has decided to maintain the existing anti-dumping (AD) duties on galvanized carbon steel wire mesh or fabric imported from China, according to a notice published in the Federal Gazette.

The measure will remain in force for five years, retroactively effective from October 10, 2024. The latest review was initiated at the request of Mexican steel producer Deacero, with authorities concluding that sufficient evidence of injury existed during the period from August 2023 to July 2024.

The affected products fall under HS codes 7314.19.03, 7314.19.99, and 7314.31.01.

Mexico first imposed duties of US$2.08 per kilogram on these Chinese-origin products in October 2014, and the measure was previously extended in 2019.
