US postpones preliminary AD ruling on rebar from 3 countries

The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) postponed its preliminary decisions regarding anti-dumping (AD) investigations on imports of steel concrete reinforcing bar (rebar) from Bulgaria, Egypt, and Vietnam.

Originally due on January 20, 2026, the new deadline is now set for March 9, 2026. This delay was due to a request from the Rebar Trade Action Coalition (RTAC) and its individual members, who pointed to the complexity of managing cases involving several countries. The coalition noted that recent responses to questionnaires require additional time for thorough review.

Meanwhile, the International Trade Commission (ITC) scheduled the final phase of AD and countervailing duties (CVD) investigations to determine if these imports harm or threaten American producers.
