CBSA decides to maintain AD & CVD duties on rebar from China, South Korea, Turkey

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) decided to maintain anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on concrete reinforcing bar imports from China, South Korea, and Turkey. The CBSA determined that the expiry of these measures would likely result in the continuation or resumption of dumping and subsidizing.

Currently, the AD rate is 26.6% for China, 25.1% for South Korea, and 6.5% for Turkey, and the subsidy rate is 6.1% for China.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will now begin an inquiry to determine whether the expiry of these orders is likely to lead to injury to domestic producers. A final ruling on the matter is expected by June 17, 2026.
