According to an official notice dated January 9, 2026, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) finds that revoking the existing countervailing duty (CVD) order on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rods from Brazil would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of countervailable subsidies.

Specifically, the net countervailable subsidy rate is 2.76% for Gerdau S.A., 6.74% for Companhia Siderurgica Belgo-Mineira, and 5.64% for all other companies.
