Pittini Group, an Italian steel company, has selected Danieli to upgrade the rolling mill at its SiderPotenza facility in Potenza. This renovation replaces older equipment with 20 SHS cartridge stands, allowing the plant to process larger 165 mm billets. The new setup focuses on lowering billet reheating gas consumption and carbon dioxide emissions while increasing overall output.

The technical upgrades prepare the site for the installation of a spooler line, capable of producing coils up to 5 tons. Extensive pre-assembly allows engineers to complete the entire installation during a 45-day shutdown.

This modernization aims to improve workplace safety and product quality across various bar and coil sizes. The plant is scheduled to begin hot start-up in 2027.
