Despite ongoing wartime challenges, Zaporizhstal, under the Metinvest Group, successfully introduced three new types of flat rolled products in 2025. The expansion includes two hot-rolled grades and one cold-rolled type for construction and machinery. These products are mainly sold to customers in Poland, Slovakia, and Moldova.

Since the full-scale invasion began, Zaporizhstal has developed 31 new products to maintain its global standing. The latest additions include S235JRC steel grade for metal structures, electric welded pipes, and products for mechanical engineering, as well as S280GD coils for galvanizing and protective coatings used in light, thin-walled steel structures.

Acting CEO Taras Shevchenko targets 11 more product launches for 2026, aiming to strengthen Ukraine’s manufacturing presence even as the factory is struggling to overcome energy instability and logistical obstacles.
