The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission announced a new timeline for its investigation into certain strata steel bolts from China. A Statement of Essential Facts (SEF) is now expected by February 18, 2026, and the final recommendations to the Minister for Industry and Science are due by April 8, 2026.

The original investigations were initiated on December 19, 2024, based on applications from DSI Underground Australia Pty Limited and Jennmar Australia Pty Limited. A preliminary affirmative determination issued on December 23, 2025, assigned dumping securities from 7.2% to 35.2%. At that time, there were no sufficient grounds to make a preliminary ruling for the alleged subsidization of the subject goods.

The probe covers products under HS codes 7304.51.00.30, 7308.40.00.05, 7318.15.00.56, 7318.15.00.65, 7318.24.00.22, 7318.19.00.03, and 7318.19.00.19.
