Power outages resume, Ferrexpo suspends operations in Ukraine

Ferrexpo, a Switzerland-based mining company with major iron ore assets in Ukraine, announced that it has temporarily suspended its operations in the country following renewed attacks on Ukraine’s power generation and transmission infrastructure, which have once again disrupted electricity supplies.

The decision followed the company’s earlier announcement in November 2025, when missile strikes on November 8 targeted power and transmission facilities in Horishni Plavni and the nearby industrial city of Kremenchuk. At that time, Ferrexpo suspended production and exports at its Ukrainian mining subsidiaries.

Ferrexpo said it will provide further updates as the situation evolves.
