UK starts AD expiry review on China’s wire rods

On January 28, 2026, the UK Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) launched an expiry review of the anti-dumping (AD) duties on wire rod products from China. These existing AD duties, ranging from 7.9% to 24.0%, stay in place while the investigation proceeds.

Local producer 7 Steel (UK) Limited requested the probe. The period of the review is from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025, and the injury assessment period spans from October 1, 202,1 to September 30, 2025.

The products subject to the review are bars and rods, hot-rolled, in irregularly wound coils, of iron, non-alloy steel or alloy steel other than of stainless steel, under HS codes 7213 10 00, 7213 20 00, 7213 91 10, 7213 91 20, 7213 91 41, 7213 91 49, 7213 91 70, 7213 91 90, 7213 99 10, 7213 99 90, 7227 10 00, 7227 20 00, 7227 90 10, 7227 90 50, and 7227 90 95.
