Nam Kim Steel Joint Stock Company has released its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2025, recording net revenue of VND 3.136 trillion, down almost 30% from the same period last year. Gross profit fell to just VND 71 billion, far below the more than VND 300 billion recorded in the fourth quarter of 2024, pushing the gross margin down from nearly 7% to around 2.3%. As a result, the company posted a net loss of VND 9 billion for the quarter, marking its first quarterly loss since the first quarter of 2023.

For the full year 2025, Nam Kim reported net revenue of more than VND 14.8 trillion, a 28% drop from 2024. Net profit fell 56% to only VND 197 billion, well below the firm's business targets for the year.

The main reason for the decline was a steep drop in export revenue, especially after the company stopped exporting to the US in April 2025 due to high anti-dumping duties, which raised costs and reduced sales volume. Meanwhile, domestic revenue remained relatively stable.

At its annual general meeting, Nam Kim shareholders approved a strategy to diversify products and expand the domestic market. This includes the Phu My coated steel plant project with an investment of about VND 4.5 trillion, aimed at reducing reliance on exports during this challenging period.
