Australia will apply new anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on ceiling steel framing members imported from China. The Minister for Industry and Innovation and Minister for Science approved the Anti-Dumping Commission’s final recommendations. Uncooperative, non-cooperative, and all other exporters face a 10.0% AD rate, and non-cooperative and all other exporters are subject to a 4.5% CVD rate.

The investigation, initiated in August 2024 after an application by Rondo Building Services Pty Ltd, examined imports from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, and assessed injury from July 1, 2020.

Officials decided to implement these measures using a non-injurious price method.

Affected products fall under HS codes 7216.61.00.57, 7216.69.00.58, 7216.91.00.59, 7308.90.00.52, 7308.90.00.53, 7308.90.00.55, and 7308.90.00.56.
