Ukraine extends AD duties to silicon-manganese steel wire from Malaysia

The Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade (ICIT) of Ukraine issued a final affirmative ruling regarding anti-circumvention on January 29, 2026. The investigation, which began in April 2025, determined that silicon-manganese steel wire originating in China reached Ukraine via Malaysia to avoid existing anti-dumping (AD) duties.

As a result, Malaysia-shipped products under tax code 7229 20 00 00 now face a 32.6% AD duty. This measure becomes effective ten days after the announcement.

The probe examined trade activities between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025, after local producers submitted a request for a probe.
