US assigns preliminary AD duty on wire rods from Mexico’s Deacero

A A A
The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) made a preliminary determination of the anti-dumping (AD) measure on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rods from Mexico, ruling that the country made sales of the subject goods at prices lower than normal value during the period of review from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024.

The USDOC set a new weighted-average dumping margin of 15.97% for Deacero and Deacero Summit.

Besides, the USDOC rescinded the administrative review for seven other Mexican firms, including ArcelorMittal Mexico, Comercializadora Eloro, Villacero, Ingeteknos, Optimatiks, TA 2000, and Ternium, because customs records showed these companies had no relevant shipments during the period.

The products involved are coiled carbon and alloy steel wire rods with a round cross-section and diameters between 5.00 mm and 19.00 mm.
