Colombia initiates AD probe on China’s annealed and galvanized steel wires

The Colombian Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism (MCIT) launched an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on annealed and galvanized low-carbon alloy and non-alloy steel wire imports from China on February 11, 2026.

This probe was initiated based on a formal application from local producer Productora de Alambres Colombianos Proalco S.A.S., which requested the investigation to address trade concerns regarding Chinese-origin steel wires.

The products involved are annealed and galvanized low-carbon alloy and non-alloy steel wires, classified by under HS codes 7217.10.00.00, 7217.20.00.00, and 7229.90.00.00.
