Interpipe, a Ukrainian manufacturer of steel pipes and railway products, recently provided 850 mm diameter railway wheels for Yüksek Hızlı Tren (YHT), a flagship high-speed rail service in Turkey.

These wheels, manufactured from ER8 category 1 steel, support operating speeds reaching up to 250 km/h and meet strict rim hardness requirements.

Railway Products Sales Manager for Africa and Asia markets, Inna Shevtsova, said that while the passenger market is more technologically demanding than the freight sector, this delivery helps the company gain a stronger position in Turkey's high-speed rail segment.

Interpipe previously supplied similar high-performance products to subway and passenger trains in the US, Thailand, Hungary, and the Netherlands. This latest shipment reflects the company's long-term experience in the Turkish market and its goal to expand its international passenger rail presence.
