It was reported that the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (Modon) approved a joint venture between Saudi-based Buhur Investment Company and India's Jindal Saw to build a Helically Spiral Welded (HSAW) pipes manufacturing plant in Sudair Industrial City. It further enhances local manufacturing capabilities.

The new plant, Jindal Saw and Buhur Altavison factory, covers approximately 540,000 square meters and has a planned annual production capacity of 350,000 tons of carbon steel pipe. The products will primarily supply key industries such as water, oil, and gas to meet Saudi Arabia's rapidly growing domestic needs.

Jindal Saw is a globally renowned pipe manufacturer, producing LSAW, HSAW, ductile iron, and seamless steel pipes. This collaboration aims to promote localization and technology investment, strengthen the country's manufacturing competitiveness, and align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
