The Dominican Republic's Regulatory Commission on Unfair Trade Practices and Safeguard Measures issued a final affirmative ruling against Chinese EMT conduit pipes.

Starting March 6, 2026, imports of these pipes with diameters between 0.5 and 3 inches face a 16% anti-dumping (AD) duty. This trade defense measure remains in effect for five years, concluding on March 5, 2031.

The subject goods are under tariff subheadings 7306.30.00, 7306.50.00, 7306.69.00, 7306.90.00, 7308.90.10, and 7326.90.90 of the Customs Tariff of the Dominican Republic.

This formal resolution establishes a stricter trade policy for steel products originating from China to prevent unfair competition within the domestic market.
